SINGLETON Race Series
APRIL

Old Dominion Racing has created a new social distancing Race Series called The Singleton.

Race Description

The Singleton Race Series is a selection of routes to allow you to safely participate in a race even while maintaining social distance from other runners. These beautiful and straightforward routes are provided each month. You get to run the routes on your own time - any time - within that month. You can even run the same route over and over until you get it just right, then your best time will be posted.

Is this another “virtual race?” Not quite. With a virtual race, people could be running anywhere, on any track, even on a treadmill. They’re not experiencing the same literal ups and downs as everyone else. With the Singleton Race Series, we are able to track you on a route that is consistent for all runners, creating an even playing field. Old Dominion Racing is maintaining the same level of equality and fairness that we provide with our conventional races.

Please be careful and stay hydrated. These races do not have Police or Waterstand support. And of course, keep your distance from others, wash your hands, and wear your masks.

Registration Fees

All registration levels allow you to compete in any SINGLETON Race.

BYOD - $13/month
Bring your own device. You must run with a device that can create a .gpx file. You will be required to submit your race details (.gpx file) to ODR (more information will be provided on how to submit this information). Includes a one-time commemorative Singleton T-Shirt and Medal!

(Here is a guide on how to download a .gpx from Garmin Connect)

BASIC - $17/month
With the leased GPS tracker (see below) we will automatically receive your data with just the simple act of you charging the device and turning it on before you start your race. Includes a one-time commemorative Singleton T-Shirt and Medal!

CHALLENGE - $35/month
This option provides you with everything in the BASIC option, plus a racing starter package (hydration pack, snacks, and much more). Includes a one-time commemorative Singleton T-Shirt and Medal, and a Finishers Medal for each route you complete.

BONUS: get an exclusive route each month!

For BASIC and CHALLENGE:

There is a one time $40 leasing fee for both BASIC and CHALLENGE subscriptions. You must add a GPS Tracker Lease to your cart in addition to the Subscription level of your choice (see the Register Here button below).

Upon the cancellation of your subscription and the safe return of the device to ODR, we will reimburse $30 of the leasing fee. This is to ensure that we receive back the devices.

By purchasing the GPS Lease Agreement, you are agreeing to ODR’s terms of use.

Prizes will be given to the following:

  • First Male/Female finishers for each race.

  • The Male/Female finishers that had the best speed up in their finishing time in comparison to any of their previous runs for that particular route.
