Another Way to Champion our Cause

Every hero needs a cape, or in this case a T-shirt!

We're also running a t-shirt campaign through Custom Ink, so buy a shirt to wear during your walk, run or roll! T-shirt campaign starts April 2 and ends April 29th! T-shirts will arrive by May 17.

Here is the T shirt link: https://www.customink.com/fundraising/wimsshirt2

A parent's greatest hope is that their child will feel welcome and safe at school. Children with developmental and health conditions have an increased risk of being bullied. Walk In My Shoes is a set of guided activities created to provide schools with the tools to encourage and foster a welcoming environment for all students.
This program can be used by school counselors, teachers, PTAs, homeschool groups, and Pod leaders to increase knowledge about developmental delays and health issues, practice perspective-taking to increase empathy and identify strategies to learn how to support a friend.

How to log your miles

ODR is using their https://raceIOT.io web app for the Walk In My Shoes Virtual 5k. This app allows participants to log their miles manually or to use their activity trackers (FITBIT, POLAR, GARMIN, or STRAVA) to log their distance.
1. Go to https://raceIOT.io
2. Click Tools > Submit Data
3. Find your name and enter your PIN (your ZIP Code)
4. Either manually put your time in (as much as you want) - or -
Connect your device account (FITBIT, POLAR, GARMIN, or STRAVA) and run the distance as many times as you like during the allocated race timeframe. RaceIOT will take your best prorated time that matches the race distance. E.g., if you run 4 miles in 40 mins we will log your time for the 3.1 mile race at 31 mins (a 10 min/mile pace).

Only your best time will be represented on the results tab (Tools > Results).
