Race Description:

Come join Old Dominion Racing in the Palantir Five For Thrive 5k. This event is near and dear to our hearts here at ODR, because of what Thrive Scholars does for our community!

All proceeds will go directly to Thrive Scholars!

 
 

This race will start and end at Fletcher’s Boat House in Georgetown, Washington D.C. and will go down and back the C&O Canal Tow Path. Where free cinnamon rolls from Great Harvest will be waiting for you!

Thrive Scholars (https://www.thrivescholars.org/):
Provides high-achieving students of color from economically under-resourced communities the opportunities they need to thrive at top colleges and in meaningful careers.

What You Get:

  • All participants get a technical shirt

  • Snacks, Gatorade and water

Registration Fees:

$40

  • Race-day registrations will be allowed via the website only (shirts might not be available on Race Day for late registration)

Top three places for male and female overall for each race.

Race Details:

  • Start/Finish: is on the C&O canal by Fletcher’s Boat House (the bridge next to the bathrooms) 4940 Canal Rd NW, Washington, D.C. 20007 (Google Link).

  • Waterstands: There will be one waterstand at the turnaround point (1.55 miles).

  • We will be providing bottled water/gatorade and energy snacks at the waterstand.

  • Bathrooms will be provided at the start/finish area.

 

Packet Pickup:

Packet pickup will be on race day from 7:30am until the event starts. It will be held in the parking area by Fletcher’s Boat House.

Special Notes:

Please note that we will require picture identification for adults in order for participants to receive their race packet (no id = no run). Participants 17 and under don't need to show an ID if they are accompanied by an adult who has a valid ID.

The roads will be closed to outside traffic.

Race Map:

All routes depicted are the general path that the race will take. Due to technical restrictions from the mapping service, the distances reflected may not be calculated correctly by the mapping service. ODR will, however, measure and provide an enjoyable and accurate route.
